Yes. I have no problem with African Americans. But you have to understand, not all Africans will feel they have a kinship with African Americans, you know. Like I’m from Somalia, so African Americans would have more in common with west Africans..

Apparently you are too ignorant to realize that the term ‘african american’ was made up by a RACIST WHITE MAN who wanted to further separate them and imply that they are NOT true Americans. Wow. It would help if African Americans would research ( like some have done already ) and know what tribe in Africa they hail from then they could reconnect to the actual tribe that they descended from.
I hate it when people jumble up all Africans into one group they are just as diverse as Europeans and Asians groups!

Difference in values seems to be a major factor. According to the many immigrants I’ve spoken to they often say African Americans are childish.
I remember one day I was at the laundromat and a Nigerian guy was throwing up his arms and shouting "stupid black people" because people in the apartment complex left all their laundry sitting in the washers and dryers and the laundry was done. And then he looked to me like I was supposed to be agreeing with him on that and was thinking to myself that the guy needs to chill.

Depend on which africans you encounter
I have befriended many africans..but typically they are NOT west african.
Many west african immigrant’s i’ve met come to USA bashing blacks here in usa.
Frankly i think it’s sad that they believe the stereotypes created here in USA by whites about black people
most of my african friends are actually east african.
I think this way..any group of people that white people in USA tend to like alot(Africans)..usually they are white @ss kissers
