Legislation passed during Reconstruction increased freedoms of African – Americans, but when reconstruction ended, they were disenfranchised. What caused African – Americans to lose the rights they had gained during the reconstruction?

I just need at least one reason with 3 details please.

    didn,t need them any more. blacks were still considered a commodity,even through the 1940,s. just shut up and go away was the common belief.
