In my opinion it seems that Israel needs to mature from a state of fear to a state of responsibility. It may be true that the Holocaust occured but as you said many ethnic groups experienced some kind of persecution. It certainly does not mean that because one was persecuted that they must do the same to another. We need real mature and respectful dialogue.
