I’m doing a project on Romania based on current issues that must include international conflicts (meaning it involves other countries) and domestic issues. I already know the issues (I’ve looked up the CIA World Factbook, so I don’t need anything of that sort), but I’m going to need a few articles that are on the issues in Romania, not just a few sentences describing what it is.

You can talk about the enmity with Ukraine over Bistroe (it was a pretty big thing a few years back). However, the most recent thing is with Moldavia – as I’m sure with heard, Romania has been accused of interfering with Moldavian politics. The intricacies of the issue are very old, since we were once one country.
Another problem you could mention is discrimination – which is a severe problem in Romania: against racial minorities (like the gypsies – rromi), sexual minorities (homosexuals), or other ethnicities (there is a known hatred of some people against Hungarians in some areas of the country).
