on tv? like BBC CH4 ITV, They show bad things about Africa what about the good things? Yes Africa is poor but I don’t why they are trying to destroy us
I was so excited to hear that my my country is hosting the World Cup cause I thought finally the world can see that there is good in Africa but as usual the BBC decided to go and report in rural areas like for example when they go to Soweto they only go to the rural area they wont go to good places like Dlamini, surely there should be a balance? They wont dare go to Sandton city,Hyde Park, Auckland Park, Centurion, Waterfront etc
Nice places and good things don’t make for interesting stories.

well despite what the media is reporting about africa, I actually liked what I saw and it made me want to plan a trip there. I think it looks beautiful there and the people seem so genuine!

There are plenty of programs about Africa’s cultural heritage, its long and varied history, and its wildlife and resources. There are also many articles about how Africans are making better lives from themselves.
There are also problems that look at Africa’s problems, and even an African will admit there are many problems.
Don’t just notice the negative coverage, but be aware of the positive coverage, because it does exist. Don’t take negative coverage too sensitively; before there can be a solution to a problem, people need to know a problem exists.
Finally, you can do your bit to promote African awareness yourself. Write an article; submit a video to Youtube, there’s lots of ways you can promote the positive. Every little bit leaves an impression.
