is anime very popular in south africa?

I wouldn’t say very popular but it has a decent following. This is mainly among gamers and PC lovers (including myself, look at my username for pete’s sake lol). Most people don’t even know what anime is around here sadly enough

    Short answer: Not a lot of viewers in the general population but it’s popular in some groups

    Long answer: It’s not huge or generally well known but there are many people who watch it and those who watch it love it. The viewers tend to be your gamers and geeks. But kids also enjoy some of the younger shows like Yu-Gi-Oh and Naruto.
